While Hannah was working on her master’s degree, she saw that many students were struggling during covid so she wanted to provide affordable tutoring services through a Christian worldview. She also wanted to build a company that would be able to fund sponsoring children in Uganda so she made that a focus of the company. The name, Family Focused Tutors, came out of the idea that we are not just teaching the kids but we are partnering with the family in the child’s academic and spiritual journey. We focus on building a relationship with each student and family as well as intentionally pray over individuals who are a part of our organization. Since the company is completely online, she has chosen to live in Uganda so she can provide teacher training to local teachers in her free time. She is passionate about Christian education and supporting the teachers in their roles.
