Christian Math Tutors Online: Personalized Math Help That Puts Your Family First
One-on-one online math tutoring from Christian educators who care about more than the next test grade.
Maybe your fourth grader dreads multiplication. Your middle schooler says, “I’m just bad at math.” Or your high school student is struggling through Algebra 1, and you aren’t sure how to help. At Family Focused Tutors (FFT), we believe students need more than another worksheet. They need patient instruction, encouragement, and someone who will take time to understand why they’re struggling.
We partner with families to match K–12 students with Christian tutors for personalized online instruction, homework help, homeschool teaching, and remediation.

Math Tutoring That Starts With Your Child
Two students can earn the same score on a math test for completely different reasons. One understands multiplication but struggles with word problems. Another knows how to solve equations but makes mistakes with negative numbers. Giving both the same worksheet won’t necessarily help either one.
We match tutors to a child’s grade level, academic needs, personality, and learning style. Depending on the student, instruction can focus on foundational concepts, challenging assignments, problem-solving strategies, test preparation, or rebuilding confidence.
The U.S. Department of Education’s What Works Clearinghouse guide to math intervention highlights systematic instruction and mathematical representations among research-supported approaches. For children who need to fill earlier learning gaps, explore our remediation tutoring.

A Math Tutor Who Partners With Your Homeschool
Homeschooling gives parents the freedom to choose curriculum and shape their family’s learning routine. It doesn’t mean they have to teach every subject alone.
Maybe you love teaching history and reading but dread opening the algebra textbook. Maybe you have several children learning at different levels. Or maybe your child simply needs to hear a difficult math concept explained by someone else.
Our Christian homeschool tutoring program lets families keep their chosen educational approach while receiving help with teaching, planning, or specific lessons. FFT has experience supporting families using curricula such as Saxon Math, Math-U-See, Abeka, and Bob Jones; ask about compatibility with your particular materials.
When Math Struggles Point to Missing Foundations
A student struggling with algebra may really be struggling with fractions. A child confused by division may still need multiplication practice. Repeatedly completing today’s assignment won’t always solve yesterday’s gaps.
Our remediation option starts with an assessment and focuses on the underlying skills a student needs to progress. A tutor can revisit prerequisite concepts, provide targeted instruction, check understanding, and reinforce new skills through practice.

More Than a Math Grade
When a child repeatedly struggles, math can become something they fear. We want students to understand that mistakes are part of learning and that their value is not determined by a test score.
Patience, diligence, and perseverance matter in math and in life. Colossians 3:23 encourages us to work wholeheartedly, as unto the Lord. Our Christian approach pairs academic support with encouragement and respect for each student's growth.
A family’s experience with Algebra 1 tutoring
FFT shares a testimonial from the Saller family describing how their daughter Elisabeth became more confident in Algebra 1 while working with tutor Nicole. The family also reported an A on her report card and appreciated the tutor’s preparation with class materials.
